Subject: Spare wheel mounting Unfortunately mine has gone missing. Being a 1940 car, the mounting is different to that on earlier V12s & LG6s. Those have a circular steel plate welded to the stay which bolts to the scuttle. My one has a conical shaped aluminium casting (I think held on by a pinch-bolt) where the stay goes through the spare wheel cover. A flat steel plate is screwed to that, & that retains a captive nut. The hand-wheel, washer & conical retainer that fits the actual wheel centre I would imagine are all similar to those on the earlier models. Please help if you can! Hoping to go to the AGM so could collect there. |

Subject: Re: Spare wheel mounting Hello, May be able to help although it may be the wrong type ! I saw what I think was a spare wheel mounting for the V12 at Beaulieu last weekend. I think it was on Mel Cranmer's stand. Underneath the table! Try him. Best of luck ! Bill |

Subject: Re: Spare wheel mounting I still need this, hopefully someone has one going spare, or can loan me one (against a deposit) so that I can have it copied. I can lend a fully restored Sanction 1 mounting in return, if that helps. Please help! Laurence |
