A beautiful V12 dhc is for sale with LMB in Belgium, and from the pictures looks stunning, and with pre-war rally history, the ex Lord Waleran 1938 rally car and company demonstrator.

"This car is in a more than perfect condition, brand new V12 engine with steel crankshaft and connection rods, 280 bhp. The car is in concours condition and drives like a dream. "

A V12 saloon with chrome wires last MOT'd in 2008 coming to auction. Looks a nice resto though estimated £250k +

H & H yesterday, sold at £180k + premium so the buyer would pay over £200k and the seller would receive about £170k . Not a bad result.

I followed that auction yesterday on the internet to see where this low estimate ends up and I was surprised how quickly this sale was finished compared to a simple BMW of the 80s where the auctioneer took more time to bring up the price to 950 GBP. I think that was a very good buy if you see how meticulously the car had been restored: http://lagonda-v12dhc.blogspot.ch/

I also followed the auction also and it was a bit abrupt. The blog does read well. I think though that the seller will be well satisfied with the result. I had guessed 150 max but was way off.

Does anyone know how did the V12 saloon do in Toffen at the end of November. I cannot find any results from that auction.

Peter - I also agree this was a very good buy, a handsome car, and having seen it once, well worth the money for the new owner.

The blog gave a good indication as to how much and time, effort and money went into this car over 3 years.
