Subject: LG45 information, please
Could some kind person please identify for me the correct type, make and model of all of the standard instruments, lights and any other proprietary accouterment that should be in evidence on a 1936 LG45.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Tim,

Very happy to help. The first step is to obtain the build sheet from Maurice Leo as there is no such thing as a standard Lagonda. I can photograph and identify the instruments, lights on my LG45 Saloon. If you send me a PM and tell me what you are looking for. I think Maurice has quite a lot of instruments but I don't know if they are for sale.

Kind regards,

Stephen

Stephen,

Thank you very much for help. The car concerned is the one I refer to under the "parts wanted" section of this forum. As you will see, it is a Gurney Nutting body project. I am making some progress in the quest to build the car back up but wondered about things like sourcing the right instruments etc.. Involvement in other project has shown me just how long it can take to collect all that will be needed and so I want to start my search soon.

Kind regards,

Tim

Tim,

I will start to compile the information. My LG45 Saloon was at the 1936 Motor Show too, I think a nice letter to Maurice Leo may be a good start point asking if he has the build sheet and if can help with some instruments. In essence you need a speedo, rev counter and two combined instruments, a pair Lucas P100 lights, a pair of windtone horns.

kind regards,

Stephen
