Petrol Tank and Petrol Reserve Valves
My "out of the car" tank was taken over by wasps. I left it alone till they had gone but their nest material remains inside. I thought a good wash and shake with hot water and drying in our glasshouse might be enough. Am I over optimistic? Advice welcome. I don't want to open the tank if possible.
Alan Heard mentioned in a recent Club news letter about running out of petrol after 5 miles on reserve. I think the handbook is probably correct but I can't work out what might have caused the 5 miles syndrome. I've attached 3 gifs about DB lagonda petrol res.Valve specs(2) and general 'how it works' document(1).
