Hi ken
Would it bo possible to use a large modern single/double
pot sliding caliper. this would give you more clearance
on the inner face/stud area of the hub.
Ray.

Hi Ray
I have looked at a couple of sliding calipers and they do indeed ease the side clearance problem, however I am having difficulty ensuring sufficient rigidity at the mount pins and their mounting to the upright.

Ken good morning,

Would you mind letting me know how things progress.

I was going to go down the road of a twin circuit with my current brakes.

Hi Simon
Will certainly cover progress in these pages, but don't hold your breath, there are seven other cars demanding attention and spring is here!
Whether eventually discs are fitted or not, it is planned to fit dual master cylinders with an adjustable balance bar to tune front and rear brake bias and with contemporary servos fitted to reduce pedal force/travel. A servo would be needed with disc brakes anyway as self servo action is minimal particularly with today's pads.
