Subject: 14/60 Carburettor
My 14/60 has a side-draught Zenith carb, and the engine, even when warm, doesn't want to run except on almost full choke. I want to strip and investigate the carb, but am reluctant to do so without at least some basic information on this carb. The Autovac is working perfectly, and there are no fuel leaks. The tank has been professionally cleaned, and all the lines are clear.
Does any one have any data that would be useful? The Zenith website has no information on this carb, and has no mention of Lagonda.

Thanks,

Steve.

Steve, before stripping the carb have you checked for an induction air leak? This might give similar symptoms.
If in the carb it could be just a dirty main jet, also carbs often get gummed up with nasty brown deposits if left standing with this horrible unleaded fuel..

Not familiar with yourparticular carburetter, but the first thing I'd check given those symptoms would be for a blocked jet.
