Subject: Window opening for 1st time in 40 years
With door panels off, I have had a first opportunity to assess electric motors.

This picture shows the manual window winder on the passenger side front door motor winder.

This was very well greased and turned reasonably easily, with no rust to it either, let the window down several inches, after breaking initial resistance from rubber seals.

I had expected it to be siezed and was very pleased that it could turn, all helical gears in good order, cleaned them up to check for damage or wear, they are like new.

Will pull these all out shortly and assess overall condition.
