Subject: Brantz Retrotrip
I have a Brantz retrotrip fitted to my 1934 Abbot T in prep for the HERO Celtic Malts event in late April. I have the voltages stabilised and am on my second retrotrip. But the meter stops intermittently. I suspect this is down to atmospheric interference affecting the electronics in the meter. Probable cause being the plug leads. I have been told that I can't fit suppressors to the plug leads - it can damage the magneto.

Has anyone any experience of this type of problem? Surprised - the solutions I can see are all a bit drastic and expensive.
