Brian Savill has kindly corrected my apprehension that the original filter picked up nothing. He has pointed out that the filter in the glass bowl only filters the petrol that goes to the Ki-Gass pump.
The only filters for the main supply are in the carburettors and in the SU pumps. I learn something every day.
