Very useful advice indeed - however, there are a few other methods of selling your car; via eBay (and you can, as with every auction, determine your own reserve price) or you can give it in commission to a dealer; you name your price and the dealer sells it for you - what ever he makes more he may keep. The advantages of this are that the car will be nicely displayed and you don't have to take care of potential buyers yourself. And not every dealer is a crook - many of them have an excellent reputation and can often find the right buyer for you.
