Subject: Manual throttle control linkage

I am keen to replace the missing manual throttle control on my LG45 Rapide. I have ordered the club casting but would much appreciate details, pictures, measurements etc. of the linkage itself. Many thanks.

I am about to reassemble the throttle linkages on my LG45 DHC, so could provide some detail from my car but I am not sure precisely what the differences are with the Rapide or indeed whether all the Rapides were necessarily the same in that respect and would not want to be leading you astray...anyone know?
Probably better to get this detail off an original Rapide, talking of which anyone know where the nice grey one that sold at Christmas Bonhams went to?

Regards
Bill

Thanks Bill,
I don't know if there is a difference. The tricky bit is the cable connecting the lever at the bottom of the steering column with the linkage which is bolted to the cylinder head. I understand the cable has "strange fittings". I haven't seen one yet in close quarters, but am anxious to do so.
Best,
Adam

I am almost certain that this is standard LG45. There is nothing special about the cable itself. Presumably you have the casting etc which bolts to the cylinder head and also you have the bracket on the chassis ? You will need the adjustable "stop" which goes on the arm between the 2 carburettors - although it would be easy to make one if not.
Which bits do you actually have or need ?
