Subject: LG45 foot pedal caution

Hi everyone. I have a safety warning to mention regarding the clutch pedal on the LG45 - and I presume on other models too.

The clutch pedal plate screws onto the lever and is locked in place with an interference fit 'through pin'. The throttle and brake are held in place with nuts and bolts.

Today, whilst navigating my way through the busy Paris city centre the clutch pedal locking pin worked out and the pedal turned 90 degrees to cover the throttle. Of course, depressing the clutch then also depressed the throttle. Could have been very nasty! Fortunately, I was able to pull over and sort it all out.

That won't happen to me again because I will come up with a better fitment but I wanted to share this with Lagonda community.

Please let me know if I've not explained this very well.

David

Thanks Bill. Had a great time and the car was brilliant. Covered in 1/2" of ice by the time we arrived there. Photo attached. Really great event though and the clutch pedal issue was just a blip - fortunately.

What an epic journey, David. Well done !
Good to know that the Lagonda seems to be running well.
Why do all the really nasty things - like your the clutch pedal problem - always happen in the most inconvenient places !

It adds an extra little excitement to driving a Lagonda I suppose. All good fun - keeps the blood pumping!
