Subject: Oil Strainer Conversion I am looking for some information about conversion of the swept oil strainer arrangement for a modern filter cell. I think I have read an article where this has been done inside the strainer housing, so that there is no visible difference. |

Subject: Re: Oil Strainer Conversion That's an interesting idea James, I have a modern canister filter on my 16/80 and although I appreciate the improved filtration it provides it certainly stands out on the engine. |

Subject: Re: Oil Strainer Conversion Hello James, My 16/80's engine has such a conversion. If you intend on using your car for any significant distances then this is a must. What I like about it is that it is easily reversible and does not stand out like a sore thumb. I tried to upload some pictures but without success (I can email them to you if you let me know your email address). Best Regards Chris |
