Subject: 14/60 HC Dynamo drive. My 14/60 dynamo has a steel disc at the dynamo end of the drive shaft. The other end has a Flex Drive. The steel disc is broken, but the Club don't list a replacement. I have the facilities to make a new one, but need advice as to the best metal/material to use. Unless someone has a spare... |

Subject: Re: 14/60 HC Dynamo drive. Hi Steve I have the same arrangement. I think a nice piece of spring steel would do the job. You will have to drill it fairly accurately and then bolt it up. Colin M34 |

Subject: Re: 14/60 HC Dynamo drive. Took the dynamo off altogether and... When I'd had the cradle bolts replaced with larger ones, and the holed re-drilled & re-tapped, I'd failed to notice that the new bolt head were stopping the dynamo being a snug fit in the cradle. Half an hour with the mini-grinder, and now the shaft alignment is spot-on! The joys of old motors...  |
