Subject: M45 brake cross shaft mounting 'caps' The brake cross shaft on our M45 is suspended beneath the chassis by two alloy brackets and held in place by an ‘end cap’ that looks like a bit like a big end and is also cast alloy. One of our ‘caps’ has cracked at the mounting bolts. I have not been able to find replacements through the club or elsewhere and I am planning to get new ones cast here in Australia. Before proceeding, I wonder if anyone else has already cast replacement brake cross shaft mounting ‘caps’ or would like me to get some extras cast?
