Subject: Re: Tires for V12 Hi all V12 drivers, which tires do you have on your cars, 6.00/6.50x18, but which brand, width ? what are your experiences ? The ones I have now are with much profile but old and cracked and I assume they are a bit risky and I have to get new ones |

Subject: Re: Tires for V12 Michelin Cable comfort or "double Rivet' as they are commonly known, 600/650x18 is by far the best tyre and correct size combination for your car Peter. But not cheap. Best regards, Julian. |

Subject: Re: Tires for V12 Thank you Julian, The cheaper "Excelsior" has a less pronounced profile and is narrower (140 compared to 175mm) Why are the Michelin better? |

Subject: Re: Tires for V12 Hi Peter, Simple answer is Quality, tyre compound and size, Michelin have tried hard to come up with a very good all round tyre with the Double Rivet design and these are VERY well suited to larger heavier and more powerful cars such as the V12. The Excelsior are really not a good tyre in my opinion, and fitting the correct size tyre is quite important to get the best from the V12. Have you heard of "Tupperware" ;o) Even with tyres "you usually get what you pay for" Best regards, Julian |
