Subject: Windscreen and door seals We are at a stage where we must decide if the windscreen is to be re-fitted as an opening screen or whether we should replace all the mechanism but seal the screen closed. I must admit I favour the latter option but any advice would be appreciated. The door seals also no longer exist and we have no idea what they look like can anybody assist with pictures or description please. |

Subject: Re: Windscreen and door seals Hi, Mine is a dhc, but I don't recall problems with water getting in, even though the windscreen rubber was the original & well past it. Furthermore I would imagine sealing the whole thing properly would be difficult & time consuming...it's not as if the frame is screwed firmly to the body. Being a dhc the doors are obviously completely different: but there have never been any door seals, on my car anyway! Laurence |
