Subject: Two 1950's 2.6 litre saloons for sale on eBay

Yet more early DB 2.6 saloons appear, these two from a vendor in Hertfordshire.

Descriptions from eBay site and not my words.

Reg No: RPC 638; Brown Lagonda:

Has had the chassis, brakes etc restored by the previous owner. Pictures to confirm. It has had a Triumph 2.6 engine installed, although not run for a while, it should start with fresh petrol and jump start. The seats are not original. In need of renovation.

Reg No: MUU 849; Grey Lagonda:

This Lagonda was in a museum and in its original state. I have removed a number of parts, but they are included in the sale. It is the original 2.6 engine, which was removed for inspection and is in two halves. The gear box is complete. Comes with starter motor, carb etc. An original car in need of full restoration.

The "possible" 2.6 litre doors which were offered a little while ago on eBay, have been purchased by this vendor and are offered with other parts.

The vendor is looking for £12,000 or best offer...

More than a little optimistic imho.
