Subject: Light Car Jack
Would anyone have any information on the type and make of car jack supplied with the 11.1, 11.9 or early 12/24 ?
I am guessing it would be a traditional screw jack but not sure of the type supplied. The jack would need to lift (fully extended) to 13 inches or thereabouts. Most of the light car jacks you see advertised on a certain auction site only lift to 11-12 inches, probably fine for an Austin 7 but a Lagonda Light Car has a higher more dignified stance
I considered buying a modern bottle jack but the lift platform is far too small so not really safe and I am a bit of a traditionalist !
Advice gratefully received and a photo of an original jack still with its car would be wonderful...
Thanks

Subject: Re: Light Car Jack
For the benefit of the very small number of Lagonda Light Car owners, I have resolved which jack will fit my 11.9
It is a Smiths Screw Jack Minor 8 which was purchased cheaply on eBay but not before careful assessment of the respective closed and fully extended height to ensure it does the job at front and rear (see dimensions above) It also has a useful size base for stability.
Hope this helps someone out there!
