Subject: DVLA Problems
In September 2017, I acquired a 14/60 HC from a deceased's estate, and registered it with the DVLA, receiving a V5C a few days later. On 20th December, I got from them a V212, advising me that I must immediately Tax or SORN the car. I duly went on-line and tried to tax it, but was unable to because the system couldn't find my MOT. (the car was first registered in 1928, so not eligible for MOT test). The next step was the phone, and I called Swansea, who told me I should get evidence of dating from Glass's Check Book, fill out a V10 and send them to the Taxation Team at Swansea. Well, the Glass's Check Book has no records before 1937, so what do I do now?
