Good morning Bob
As a spare mag for a 2 litre I have been told that a Piper Cherokee Mag has the same rotation and output...It maybe worth checking with other forum members if it is only for emergency use as two people have told me that independently. Good luck !
Regards
Lyndon

Contact Alan Fairbrother in Hampshire - his tel nr. is + 44 (0) 2380 846252. He restores magnetos and came up with an original Scintilla for my 2L in no time.

Hi Bob,

I have searched my workshop high & low this morning. I have only found one mag a BTH GA4 which is for a Rapier, which is in excellent order and has not been on car since it was rebuilt - I am at a loss as where the ML is, sorry to disappoint. I have taken some photos of it as it will not fit either of the LG45s and it might be useful to someone.

Kind regards,

Stephen

Hi all,
Please may I make a note on this one and hopefully Peter could make this a silent rule.
Anyone who is in business like myself (LMB) and even those who dabble in trading, should not buy items like this that are advertised on the forum (unless strictly for private use) as we would only be taking away opportunities from other Lagonda Friends and trying to make money from the forum. As this is not the idea or I am sure Peters intention, we should take note and let the people who really need these parts, have them!
(although I would love to snap this one up Laughing Laughing )

Julian.

I am currently using a BTH GA4 magneto on our 2 Litre High Chassis. It works well and does not need any modifications to the actual mag BUT the clamping arrangement has to be slightly modified. I can't remember exactly what has to be done but it was not complicated. I will try and remember and put a posting on later.

This might be of help

Mike

Thanks a lot, Stephen and Mike.
It would be very helpful to have some precise information about the change to do.
So this magneto is interesting and finally suiting for me as a spare; are you willing to sell it to me,Stephen?
