I assume it is this car
http://lagondaforum.com/showtopic.php?id=134
from what I understand what reevsy reported at least in his hands (until 2009) it was not completely restored but had mainly a respray and rechroming and was brought back to the road (engine still ok)

P.S. I might be wrong, after checking again I see it is a different registration number. But the colour scheme is the same.

Peter hi

When I last spoke to Reevsy about six months ago, he told me that he had sold his car privately to a gentleman in Sweden for 45k.

I wonder if these are two different cars.

I wonder if the origins of the restored car in Holland is the following 3.0 litre dhc car also from Holland, for sale back in 2010 for 23k Euro's ?

Hi Simon
it might be really 3 different cars: the 2 from Holland have different years (1953 and 1955) and the ex Reevsy car had a different registration number and hood colour (beige and not black)
the one in Holland from 1953:

ex Reevsy car:

And the restoration project from Holland from 1955:

Hi Peter,

Reevy's car was already restored by late 2009, so that is a separate car.

The 1953 restored car in Holland is a Mk2 and not Mk 1 car. Note the front head-lights, rear lights and lower sill single side rails, and give away rear number plate holder etc etc. I would suggest that this is a 1955 car.

So my guess is that the unrestored and restored cars in Holland are either the same car or just possibly two different cars, .

All are wonderful cars and clearly a delight to own when fully restored...

Peter hi

If I am correct 50 dhc's were made out of the total production run of around 320 3.0 litre cars ? They seemed to have fared the best from the 1950's cars, always coveted and not scrapped. I am still amazed at the number coming up for sale in the last 12 months!

Seems to have been a similar situation with the rare 2-dor 3.0 litre cars, with many Lagonda club members keeing a signicant number od the 70 cars made.

Peter hi

Some clarity on the two Dutch cars, see the two links to Ron Press's web-site, they are both from 1955:

1. http://www.lagonda1949-1958.co.uk/609HYK/609HYK.html

This car dates from 04/1955 and a fair amount of hard to find chrome trim missing from the body-work. With engine VB6H/406

2. http://www.lagonda1949-1958.co.uk/TYE349/TYE349.html

This car dates from 9/05/1955 and is LB 290/1/108 with engine VB6H/259, the car comes with a later engine, which was changed by Lagonda in 1960.

So two different cars.
