Subject: Competition Licence Medicals
This will only interest those of you who are 45 or over and are applying for a race licence but have not yet had their medical.

In previous years I had my medical done at the December Driving Tests. The volunteer doctors asked for a charity donation of £50 -expensive for a 10 min test, but it was all in a good cause. This year I couldn't go to the driving tests so asked my own GP who wanted £90 ! I made enquiries with other doctors and was quoted £35, £25, and £20. The moral of this story is you don't have to go to your own doctor, so ask around and don't get ripped off !
