This is a 12/24 Chassis No 4957 Engine No 8702 of 1924. It has a cone clutch and 3-stud wheels. I do not know the model designation - perhaps you can tell me. The registration is NN8080.
I have several pictures of this and other Lagonda light cars taken between 1948 and 1950 by my father. Are these of interest to you?

What a great picture.
I am sure Ken Painter (Lagonda Club magazine editor) would be very intereseted in the other pictures you refer to. He is always on the look out for period photo's. Ken is a user on this forum so you can contact him via email (user name Ken Painter)

many thanks for the picture on forum

Hello Patrick,

I have spent the evening trying to determine if the car featured in this link -

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3417/3555610054_c6f5871824_b.jpg

could be a Lagonda. My grandmother fondly remembered her fathers car but we had no evidence until a negative of this image was found only days ago. Thanks to Photoshop we can now see the often spoken of car. Since discovering this forum and your MySpace page I believe this is indeed a Lagonda.

Would you be able to make a guess as to the year of manufacture?

Hope you like the photo.

Cheers

Geoff

Hello Geoff

Nice photo.

This is indeed a 12/24 - model "L". I would say that it is 1924 or 1925, as 1926 models had 5-stud wheels. I think I can just see that it has front wheel brakes - optional for 1924 and standard in 1925.

Perhaps the driver is enjoying the nice driving position and the precise way the car handles!

Hi Geoff,

I really love that photo.
It's indeed a Logonda, a 12/24 LC model of 1924.
It has NO front wheel brakes and a steering wheel with 4 spokes.
Can I use that picture on my myspace?

just a fantastic picture !

And with 6 persons in the car, same as with my family when I was a young boy

Kind regards,

Patrick Jacob

Hi,

Thanks both for your responses.

Patrick - please feel free to use the photo on your MySpace page.

If we ever turn up more images I'll share them here.

Do you know if there is one of these surviving in a museum somewhere to be viewed?

Thanks

Geoff
