Subject: What are the correct horns for my M45?
My works record card states "Alto HF 732" Is this an Altette high frequency? Does it have a pressed steel or cast body? I have a bunch of old horns I got with the car, some look similar to the pictures but I have also seen quite a variety of different maker's horns on Lags.

Dear Barry,
I've no idea if any specific horn was used as standard and I've seen M45's and LG45's with various horns. I Looked into this when I restored my LG I and decided to simply restore the horns my car came with as there weren't other mounting holes to suggest they were replacements.

I found this company here in the UK that seem to restore every type so they might be a good start if you want any advice or parts. http://www.taffthehorns.com

Good luck.

Dear Barry,

The contact David has given you is excellent.
Taff made up a pair of original 1933 Lucas Altette horns for my 16/80 and they were perfect right down to the correct screws, domed nuts and mountings etc…

Anyway, good luck

Best Regards
Chris
