Subject: V12 bonnet handles
I was reading in the Club Newsletter about a search for V12 bonnet handles.

I had to replace 2 on my car. I bought http://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/part.phtml?PartID=2057
I removed the part which is normally screwed on the door. I shortened the squared shaft and cut a thread on it (it is squared and not round but no problem).

in the attached images you see the four handles on the bonnet. 2 are original and 2 are remade as above. For the two front ones I put a little spacer in between because otherwise it was touching the bulb in the bonnet (this is the same problem for the old and the replacement part).

When you compare the images you see they are not identical but quite similar, I put the two new ones on one side of the car so you can not compare with the original to easily.

The photo with dimensions is my (supposed to be) original handle
