Subject: Steering wheel repair again
There have been a lot of posts on this site on this topic and the general consensus seems to be that the original cellulose is difficult or prohibitively expensive . I like the look of the string wrapped wheel and will be going that route with my M45 wheel. There is an informative thread on this topic on the Jalopy journal website.

I didnt think that my steering wheel repair cost was very difficult or expensive (under £100). See my post of 20/1/17. I think that it looks very good and original. I would have thought that you could even do this recovering yourself - if you have enough patience !

I am having trouble imagining how you could "paint" over empty space! My wheel is hollow and the indentations are holes which the cellulose spanned.
