If found another good shot of the Lagonda LeMans that had been used for the 1946 Indy 500 participating in the 1952 Watkins Glen, NY event.

From 1950 to at least 54 the LeMans was fairly active; Bridgehampton, Watkins Glen, Ascutney Hill Climb, Mt Equinox Hillclimb, Linden NJ road races, Thompson, CT and others.
Mostly Sports Car Club of America events. Driven by some fairly well know US drivers like John Fitch and Shewood Johnston.

Nice photo of the Indy car at a SCCA race in Thompson, CT probably in 1953-54. I am not sure who the driver is.

Here's another photo of the 46' Indy car on Ebay but this image is from Watkins Glen in 52' where Sherwood Johnston took 2nd in class.
