Subject: Le Mans Body
Next month, after I return from travelling, I think I'll be putting the body up for sale. It really is an interesting part of Lagonda history.

Originally when I bought it I had intended just to display it. I think there is potential to place the body on a V-12 chassis or an LG6 chassis and install a Mercury motor in the car. As an American Special, which seems to be so popular these days, it would be an interesting race car. Possibly more potential than the V-12 power.

Of course, it did have a relatively successful record running in the early SCCA events in New England with Mercury or Chrysler power. It also helped that two very competent driver's like John Fitch (Mercedes team driver) and Sherwood Johnston (drove for Cunningham) raced the car.

It really would be wonderful to see it run with the VSCCA in New England.
