Subject: inlet manifold for solex 44 phh
hi i have just noticed that the front inlet manifold has corroded and started to leak water, so once again im after some advice and help in sourcing a replacement part.
is the manifold common to other cars with similar engines or used on other makes?
and the big question, does anyone have one?
or maybe it could be repaired , any recomendations?
ps the radio looks fantastic and the speaker grill is an exact match
thanks for your help

Jay hi

The inlet manifold and even new Solex carbs can be still purchased from Aston Service Dorset, at a price of course.

I have never checked to see if the inlet manifold set up as used on both period Alfa's and also certain Mercedes is the same -, unlikely though.

I have noted that both the carb placement and linkages between the Solex's on these cars is al very different to the Rapide, so do take care.

I'd expect the manifolds on Alfa 2600, Mercedes 190 and Rapide all to be different as the engines will have different dimensions. I have a spare pair if you get really stuck
