Subject: Donald Sessions jack London
I have recently unearthed an unusual jack from the same garage that housed my Lagonda. I have my doubts that it was ever fitted to my car but I am curious about it's application. I have not been able to find out much about it other than an expired ad on prewar car.com. Seeking information.

I dont know if it helps but I have always understood that Lagonda fitted a "Sky-Hi" jack at least on the ali bulkhead cars ie 1936 and earlier. There were different sizes of Ski-Hi jacks and I am not certain which exact size was correct for Lagondas. Probably the one which fits best !
My M45 came with a Sky-Hi and although it was only found and given to me after I collected the M45 on purchase it fitted perfectly under the original spring loaded clips on the bulkhead.

My 16/80 has it's original "Stadium" jack. Perhaps Lagonda fitted either them or "Sky-Hi" ones depending on who had run out of credit with because they owed the most money to.

I suspect this is the same reason that sometimes they fitted BTH and sometimes Scintilla magnetos on the M45!

As Bill says, both fit nicely on the bulkhead.

I suspect Donald Sessions could well be the D and S of DWS, makers of the hydraulic jacking system on LG6s and V12s, and probably also LG45s.

Thanks for the info ! Would I be correct in assuming this type of jack was never specified for an M45? It is not hydraulic. I will post a picture.
