Subject: Smiths rev counter on eBay
Hi Folks,

Some of you may have seen the superb Smiths rev counter on eBay (Item number: 220689434346). This finished on 7th November for £129.90. I thought it was worth this money.

I wanted to mention that although the rev counter is listed as suitable for a Lagonda, it is not exactly correct. Reason is that my cars have a 0 to 5000 r.p.m. range whereas this one is 0 to 4000 r.p.m. Perhaps it was for a boat, generation set or some industrial unit., particularly as it has a red marker at 2800 r.p.m.

In every other respect it is identical and certainly I would be very happy to pay the sort of figure it went for if I needed one. It would be fine for my 2 Litre but I have been known to rev my 16/80 above 4000 r.p.m. which is presumably why Lagonda put in a 0 to 5000 r.p.m. unit.

I hope the purchaser is as happy as I would have been with this unit if I had bought it. I have added a photo of it from eBay on this posting.
