Subject: Rear Inner Door panel and Electric Window Switch
I have become much quicker at removing these panels now, around 5 minutes.

One small change to my way of taking them off, is to leave the carpet trim on the bottom, don't remove it. This way, you will have a much accurate idea of the full size of the plywood panel.

Mine are either distorted, dried out or delaminated, so I plan down the road to make fresh panels in marine-ply, and then recover with original leather, mine is all in good condition. This will also help with cleaner door closure.

I plan to make one small modification to door panel fixing. With the design used on the car, the lower 3/4 screws were put on first, and the panel fixed to the door, and then the carpet glued on top.

I will simply put the screws on lower edge, through the carpet, barely visible, but bringing the advantage that the panel is more easily removable for any work needed inside the door.

Don't forget to make notes on electric connection to the electric window switch, and this is readily separated from door, although the metal frame may be Mazak, so take care.
