Subject: Re: Lagonda Club AGM & Concours Weekend 6th and 7th Octoober UK
Well what a great weekend - Saturdays sunny tour around the Cotswolds with a built in Hill Cimb! Tea at the Swords with a great garden for all and even(!) a great set of garages and Lagondas!
We thought last years dinner was good with 92 but at Heythrop Park there were 122! with the President being persueded to give us a fine rendition as we have come to expect.
The sun shone both days but with a light mist first of all on Sunday - the AGM was efficiently dispatched in just on the hour, with all votes a full house majority - then a quick preview of the about to go live new Club web site, which was well received.
Then to the fine display field with its great views accross the valley and the old House as backdrop. The cars with the featured models 16.65 and 16/80s in the centre stage! A grand cicle of some 70 + cars, Judges feaverishly working to give the results soon after tea at 15.00 to the members accaim! Time to head home with memories of new friends, old ones greeted and absent friends toasted.
What a GREAT WEEK END - WILL YOU BE THERE NEXT YEAR - ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A FEATURED CARS - ALL THE EARLY MODELS BEFORE THE 2 LITRES, PLUS THE RAPIERS CELEBRATING THEIR ANNIVERSARY TOO! SEE YOU THERE, DATES TO BE CONFIRMED. Christopher H1
