Subject: Mystery suspension part...
This part costs £35.00 or £3.50 depending on where you buy it - two are required.

Okay, not a mystery - I'm just feeling smug that I found the source of these straps!

Landrover axle straps will not fit. I have now found the right ones - they are not the same as the ones on offer for the DB5 which are in a loop - probbaly still work fine though!

Which vehicle is providing the right part, if it is not a Land-Rover ?

None. The original Rapide strap is a 3" wide strip of webbing (probably ex army), folded into a 1" strip and glued. On the Rapide each side of the De Dion has two of these straps. Landrover straps cut down are the best option...

From memory, DB4 ones are not in a loop but in effect become one when secured by the axle bump stop securing bolts

I'm not sure why I've spent so long on this! Below are cut down Landrover straps - roughly half their original size. These straps consist of several layers of webbing bonded together within a rubber compound.
