I haven't got any good overall external photos yet but I thought these might be of interest.

Looking splendid Christian! 2 questions please a) what's the blue label on the air box? b) Are you planning to fit an under-bonnet insulation pad (or is is there just not visible in the photos), and which might also help stop it drumming?

Hi, thanks all! The blue label is a 'Coopers Air Filter' label - mine was replaced about 500 miles ago so is in good nick - I don't think there are any replacements left - or are there? I wasn't planning to put a pad under the bonnet as I don't think there was one originally, but if drumming is a problem I might reconsider! I'm quite proud of the original brake fluid caps...and they work! For those who don't know, the red ignition light also tells you when your handbrake is on and if the brake fluid is low...

My car has an under-bonnet pad, about 1/2 inch thick stuff like black felt, glued to the underside. Originals are no longer available so I had a new one made in Dorset for the other car, whose original had come slightly unstuck and got chewed by the fan (before I fitted a replacement cowl)

Christian, many congratulations on a very excellent result of all your hard work. Now to enjoy driving the car! I'd be particularly interested in your views of performance with manual gearbox, can it be driven as distinct from motored?
