Subject: 2litre LC - German TÜV data
I succesfully had my new 2ltr LC checked by TÜV (German version of MOT, still required here every 2 years or at least once if the car is running on a "red" number plate which only would allow the use for rallyes and some test driving). No complaints or remarks at all, 100% ok. What I was curious to see is which data they would come up with for the car because in the V5C there is not much more than first registration date, displacement and chassis number. What they found was:
displacement: 1940cc - 1954 "effective"
power: 44kW (60hp) at 3500 rpm (remark on that document that the car can be equipped with compressor too, then it would be 63kW (86hp) at 4000 rpm and have a max speed of 145 km/h (90 mph)
egine type it says: OHL T2
carburettor it says: 1 Zenith
weight: 1175 empty 1250kg with fuel, 1650kg max loaded
(it seems they took the chassis weight for the weight of the car)
noise: 85 dB (A)
max speed: 115 km/h (72mph)
tires (on my car) 5.25-21 (on their data sheet 5.50-18 which should be from a 2litre Continental)
length: 4115mm, width: 1727mm and height 1550mm (I did not check it)

Peter - hope you have many happy miles ahead of you, with the wind in your hair..

Good 2.0 cars are hard to come by, looks like a great choice, I like the leather interior and paint combination..
