It seems an obvious thing to do, unless (that is) there is not enough difference in performance to warrant the trouble and expense. Obviously, one would carefully put to one side all the original parts so that they might be reinstated at a later date.
I wonder if the 4.5 engine can be squeezed into the earlier chassis, since I think I'm right in saying that these 3 litres used a slightly modified 2 litre low chassis? Also, the 3 litre cars used a right hand shift whereas I believe most of the 4.5 units were mated to the G10 centre shift box.
